For all regions of Australia and New Zealand (except Queensland, Victorian and Western Australia schools) the following schools or childcare courses are suitable.

Schools ASCIA anaphylaxis e-training: Australasian schools 2017 is designed for all school staff that have contact or responsibility for children to Year 12 level.

ECEC ASCIA anaphylaxis e-training: Australasian early childhood education/care 2017 is designed for people working in the early childhood education/care area.

Queensland has a specific course for their state schools.

QLD Schools ASCIA anaphylaxis e-training: Queensland state schools 2017 has been developed with the Queensland Department of Education, Training and Employment (DETE) specifically for their schools.

These are now the current courses for 2017.

They were updated June 2017 (Version 6.2) to incorporate the updated ASCIA Action Plans and new instructions on EpiPen® and EpiPen®Jr adrenaline (epinephrine) autoinjectors.  The devices have not changed, just the instructions on the label, which now include: Reduced injection time from 10 to 3 seconds – this is based on research confirming efficacy and delivery of adrenaline through the 3 second delivery; Removal of the massage step after the injection – this has been found to reduce the risk of tissue irritation. EpiPen®s with a 10 second label can continue to be used and should not be replaced unless they have been used, are just about to expire or have expired. All EpiPen®s should now be held in place for 3 seconds, regardless of the instructions on the label.  However, if they are held for 10 seconds it will not affect the way that the adrenaline works.
